About the Author
S.L. Davis is an author, designer, and longtime creative professional with a background rooted in storytelling, marketing, and lived experience. After spending more than 20 years as a realtor, she developed a deep appreciation for branding, visual design, and narrative, skills that now shape both her novels and her author platform.
She has been married for 33 years to her husband, a Citadel graduate and former NFL player who spent 12 years in professional football. Together, they raised two daughters, now adults, while moving frequently and experiencing life across many regions and cultures. That nomadic chapter, defined by resilience, adaptation, and close family bonds, continues to inform her writing.
S.L. Davis draws inspiration from real places, history, and travel, weaving setting deeply into her stories. Her novels explore courage, loyalty, and the quiet moments that shape who we become, often blending mystery, place-based adventure, and emotional depth.
When she isn’t writing, she enjoys design projects, marketing creative work, traveling, and gathering inspiration from the places that feel both foreign and familiar. She believes the most meaningful stories are grounded in real life, and that some journeys leave anchors behind.
